<a href=p2152.html>Timothy Bobb</a> nabs five hits against Tampa Bay
ATLANTA - 'You know, in batting practice I didn't really 
feel that comfortable about my stroke today, but baseball 
is more than hitting. Then, when you're not trying 
to force a hit, you slug them in droves,' says <a href=p2152.html>Timothy 
Bobb</a> after his 5 hit game, which Atlanta won 9-7 
against Tampa Bay. His 1st hit, a solo homerun off 
<a href=p1715.html>Paul Nichols</a> in the 2nd inning, 
cleared the fence in left-center. Number 2 in the 3rd 
inning, a shot estimated at 369 feet, cleared the wall 
in right field. In the 5th inning he belted a double 
off <a href=p979.html>Hector Miranda</a>. In the 6th 
inning he belted a two-run double off <a href=p520.html>Samuel 
Little</a>. A RBI double off <a href=p580.html>Matthew 
Lapointe</a> in the 8th inning accounted for his 5th 
hit. Timothy did drive in 6 while scoring 4 runs on 
his own. He now has a total of 112 hits this season, 
accounting for a .296 batting average.
